Brewery bosses have caused fury in Poland after hanging a giant poster near the tomb of late president Lech Kaczynski urging drinkers to try a 'Cold Lech'.
The death of the president - in a plane crash tragedy on a visit to Russia - sparked mass mourning all over the country three months ago.Now politicians have called for drinkers to boycott the beer by Krakow brewers Lech.
"This is scandalous and offensive. The brewery has crossed the Rubicon in bad taste," said MEP Ryszard Czarnecki.
"Using the president's death to sell beer is just plain wrong and they can't get away with it."
But brewery spokesman Paul Kwiatkowski: "This is the best place for beer ads in Krakow.
"If we think the ad is OK there is no reason why the billboard should not be hung right here."
